[CONGRES] Cycles, Recueils, Macrotexts: Theorizing the Short Story Collection

On 22-24 May 2012, the KU Leuven department of Literary Studies, the Leuven Centre for Irish Studies (LCIS) and research network OLITH will be hosting a conference on Cycles, Recueils, Macrotexts: Theorizing the Short Story Collection.

The conference will take place in the newly refurbished Irish college in Leuven (the Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe). Plenary speakers will include René Audet (Université Laval), Rolf Lundén (Uppsala University) and Robert M. Luscher (University of Nebraska). A detailed, finalized conference programme is now online.

Please register before 1 May (early-bird rates apply), using the registration form attached (available both in English and in French). Information about accommodation in Leuven is also available.

[Colloquium] 500 jaar Lof der Zotheid

Naar aanleiding van '500 jaar Lof der Zotheid' organiseert de Onderzoekseenheid Latijnse Literatuurstudie van de K.U.Leuven een colloquium over Erasmus en zijn magnum opus. Het colloquium vindt plaats op dinsdag 20 en woensdag 21 december a.s. Het programma vindt u in bijlage.

We vestigen graag in het bijzonder de aandacht op de algemene lezing, die prof. dr. Harm-Jan van Dam op 20 december om 20 uur in de Lipsiuszaal (Faculteit Letteren) houdt.

[Congres] Crosscurrents in Illustrated Religious Texts in the North of Europe, 1500-1800

Ter afsluiting van het project ‘The religious emblem tradition in the Low Countries in the light of Herman Hugo’s Pia desideria’ (NWO/FWO-Vlaanderen) organiseert de onderzoekseenheid Literaire Relaties en Postnationale Identiteiten van de K.U.Leuven samen met het departement Nederlandse Taal en Cultuur van de Universiteit Utrecht het congres Crosscurrents in Illustrated Religious Texts in the North of Europe, 1500-1800. Het congres vindt op 12 en 13 januari 2012 plaats in het Academiegebouw van de Universiteit Utrecht.
